I'm getting mixed reviews, so I'm wondering what others have done. I have a '66 Cherokee 180 with a fixed pitch propeller. The engine has about 500 hours on it, and the prop has 1800+. My mechanic said people usually get them rebuilt when they do an engine overhaul, but mine wasn't done that way. Every time it goes into the shop, the prop gets filed on a little to get the Knicks out. What are your thoughts about getting them rebuilt? Times? Or is it better to buy a new one?
Thank you!
Andy
