I found a new instructor who I hired after he took me for that spin in his Cherokee 235, and I decided that it would be smart to fly with a Piper guy. So a few days of reviewing my airwork and hitting some gaps, and with the new guy actually letting me make (and fix) some mistakes......I did my first solo today!!!! Three laps around the pattern in Class D, plenty of traffic and a 8kt crosswind. Nailed all three landings, I was expecting the balloon without the second person in the plane, but I still did put in a little too much back pressure on the first one and quickly corrected......still squeaked it on, the next touch and go and the full stop were even better. Woot!!!
