First mountain flight!

I'm planning to fly to 1A5 tomorrow with my 140-28. I have flown around the same area, never on the mountains, and landed at a 800' elev airport while the mountains were still far NW.

Elevation about 2000' surrounded by 6000' mountains.

VFR flight. Hopefully the wind will calm down. I will go only if wind < 30kts @7500 and <15kts on the ground. I will follow THIS approach, even if VFR, just to be safer.

Any recommendations?
