hm, so noticed on my preflight today a dollop of something on the inside bottom of the cowling. thought it was a drop of oil until i wiped it up- it was like gray colored softened caulk. looked up to see where it was coming from and it was oozing out of one of the engine mounts. got to get into annual in a couple of weeks, but was trying to put a little time on it (shake off the winter inactivity) before, but not sure flying now, anymore than what's required to get the airplane to annual, is a good idea. anybody who has seen this care to share their experience with the failure?
