I posted about the new design Tempest filter drain kit, that can cleanly drain your oil filter. I said that I would post some pics of it in use.

I have a remote oil filter kit, needed it to install my standby alternator on the accessory case. There is a fair bit of oil in the hoses that lead to the filter.

The kit slips over the oil filter, a few turns of the screw handle punctures the filter case, then you unscrew and the oil neatly drains through the hose.

I also have a tube on the oil pan kwik-drain.

Oil goes in the pail, and not the floor.

IAC, just the way I like doing it.
