I let my COPA and AOPA memberships lapse a few years ago, when I was flying a bit less. Given COPA's recent success convincing Transport Canada not to require RNAV-equipped planes for 2-year Instrument Proficiency Checks (which would have made life tough for a lot of instrument-rated private pilots), I thought it would be worthwhile supporting them again, so I signed back up on the site.

My card just arrived in the mail. It has my original member number and still says "Joined COPA 2001." Nice touch.
