Hey all,

I'm considering gap seals for my 140. I'm told they will enhance the handling of the aircraft. However, I've seen some videos of gap seals installed on a Cherokee and the gap seals have rubbed pretty much all the paint off the underside of the wing where the seals touch. Looks like they might even be damaging the wing skin. It also sounded like rough metal on rough metal. Is this typical? If so, why would anyone want to do that to their aircraft?

Thanks!
