We are getting ready to install some new avionics and I had a question about the avionics bus. We have a PA-28-180C that only has a master switch and fuses. At the bottom of the stack there is a thin aluminum plate which is where i was considering placing the avionics switch and the breakers for all of the devices on that bus. The sum amperage of all of the breakers is 43 amps. I know that the breakers are sized so that the rated load is no more than 80% of the advertised breaker size. The only switches I could find on spruce were rated to 20 amps so I was planning on getting a relay and coming straight off of the battery to the bus bar. Is this overkill and would it be feasible to repurpose the ground power relay for this since we don't or plan to use the ground power plug?

We will be removing a kma24 and a Loran-C and installing a GNS430W, AXP340, AMX240, G5 HSI (with GAD29B and GMU11) and moving the current KX155 w/GS. From top to bottom it will be: Audio Panel, GNS430W, KX155, and then transponder.
