Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum and I do not own a piper aircraft. I have however done the majority of my private and commercial flight training in pipers.

With that in mind, I'm looking to buy my first airplane. I'm planning on purchasing something I can lease back and fly myself as well. Originally I was thinking of an Arrow III but the more I thought about it flying an arrow in the Denver area in the summer doesn't sound like a lot of fun. So here is what I'm thinking and I'd appreciate your honest feedback.

- Turbo arrow III or IV with a Merlin wastegate and intercooler. If it didn't have glass I would probably put it in.

- 182 with a G1000.

- Cirrus SR20 new from the factory.

While the cirrus seems like a great option, I don't want to waste money if I'll be disappointed. The new 6th generation has a 215hp engine so I'm not sure it will perform. I love low wings and I'm very familiar with piper, especially the arrow. I don't have a ton of time with a turbo, but from reading it seems having certain mods keep the airplane in good shape. I'm just a little nervous buying an airplane that's almost 50 years old. Even if half the parts have been replaced.

What do you guys think?
