That's what my wife calls it. I had every intention of just buying one but ended up finding some spare time and just decided to build one myself. Saved a little $ but most importantly got to feed that inner DIY need that stays hungry all too often with life being so busy.

Still have to do some finishing work with the wiring but I tried it out yesterday and was thoroughly impressed.

For the trial run I just bought a couple small bags of ice (14 lbs total) and dumped them in. I'd say going this route will probably only give you 30-60 minutes of "ice time" as the circulation of water through the cooler will melt things rather quickly. Honestly that's probably enough considering its really only needed at beginning and end of flight.

Also for the trial I just loaded up my small garden tractor battery and used alligator clamps to turn it on off. Don't worry, a 3 position switch to alternate power sources is coming soon.

My Saratoga has a pretty large interior cabin and with the cooler sitting between the middle club seats blowing air straight up it cooled the cabin in 90 degree heat within 5 minutes.

I was more than pleased with the performance.
