Does anybody know what DERs usually charge for their work? My plan is to do a transatlantic trip in my Arrow II. As the hershey bar wing only accommodates small tanks (48 gal), I'm in need of a turtle pac on the rear seats. It does not require me to exceed W&B-limits, it's just about plumbing the rubber blade and a fuel pump to the r/h wing tank by an AN-t-fitting. To be legal, a 337 is required for that, and a DER has to approve the data by issuing a form 8110. Now, I got in contact with a DER and he gave me a quote of $4500,-!!! This is way beyond my budget and would kill my plans for the trip. Any recommendations?
