Good Day all,

We continue to work on the 0-540 in our beloved little 1964 235 and are fitting an oil filter adapter to the back of the engine.

We pulled the oil screen housing and removed the vernatherm and oil temp sensor putting both in the new adapter. We then put the stud in the back of the case and fitted the adapter to the back of the engine. In the process of doing this and working around the mags we removed the oil hoses going to and from the oil cooler to make it easier.

We have the adapter all tightened and realized the hoses interfere with the oil temp sensor in the adapter. Dunno why this is.

Can anyone send a pic of the back of their engine and oil filter adapter?

I'm thinking I will have to modify the routing of the hose with a fitting of some sort otherwise this will not work out.

Ideas? I'll see if i can post a picture.
