Been looking off and on for a while and am getting serious about upgrading from my 180 to a six. My 2 kids keep growing and now near max out my useful load. So a couple of questions:

1. Why do later 6's weigh more and have less useful load than earlier models?
2. Is the 4 tank configuration hard or stressful to manage?
3. How much do speed mods really help this aircraft?
4. Anything in particular to pay attention or be aware of?

I'm open to a 260 or 300 model depending on what I find but am leaning towards the 300. I also think (no real experience) that I want all forward facing seats as they can be easily removed.

Thanks in advance for your comments
