Before I remove the inner panel of my door to look at the mechanism I'll ask the question here. The bottom latch isn't latching without really fiddling with it. I've seen other Cherokees where you can simply close the door and it catches. The movable part that goes into the stationary part on the frame sticks. I read on the door and seal website that the culprit is usually the clevis pin wearing out which they sell for under $7. (sidenote here...if I buy this and it fixes it, I'm throwing a party and you're all invited since every other thing I've bought for the plane was over $200.)

What are the most common culprits and what should I check first?
