I'm new to the forum and a new pilot as well.

I have a 66 cherokee 180 and would like to begin instrument training in the near future. My plane has no IFR rated GPS, I am currently using a garmin 296 which although old actually does a great job for vfr flying.

I would like to get some opinions on which GPS to put in the plane. I can get a freshly yellow tagged KLN 94 for $2500. The plane has dual kx-155's and the kln 94 would make a nice addition. What are your thoughts on the subject?

Thanks in advance. Paul
