When I pull my 430 to send in for repair, what happens on the rest of the panel?

Do the G5's continue to operate? Does COM2 continue to feed through the audio panel? Yep, these may seem like rookie questions because they are.

In other words can I remove the 430 from the tray and have everything else function?

I can use Foreflight for VFR nav guiding headings just didn't know or understand the relationship between the G5's and the 430.
