What year is this 235?

Im in the title search phase of what I think is a 1973 Piper 235. FAA site and the documents all reference 1972 as the MFG date, which i believe differs from the model year.

What Im trying to figure out is if its the 1973 model with the 5 inches of extra leg room in the rear....Doesnt look like theres much back there.

Any help is appreciated.
