I just got a quote of $5K from an avionics shop to install GPSS at the same time as they have the panel open for some other work. This seemed surprisingly high to me. Subtract the $2K street price for the GDC31 I asked them to quote and that still comes in at around 30hrs of shop time. If you have GPSS in your aircraft, is that installation quote even in the same ballpark as what you paid?
