Two similar planes; one a 140/150 one a 140/160?

So, it looks like my purchasing decision may come down to two planes, both very similar, but different. Both Cherokee 140 models. Same year, similar avionics in the panel, both well maintained, similar time on frame and engine since overhaul. Purchase price is very close to one another. Only diff is one has the 160hp upgrade, the other is the standard 150. High performance is not a critical item on my mission list, but operating costs are. Is one plane better than the other? Will the 160hp plane be a substantially better performer? Will it cost more to operate in terms of GPH and maintenance? I'd appreciate your input. Thank you.
