Sec. 91.411 — Altimeter system and altitude reporting equipment tests and inspections

Sec. 91.413 — ATC transponder tests and inspections

I was told that you could no longer just have the transponder checked but you also had to have the pitot/static test also even though you were not going to be flying IFR.

I have looked at the FARS but I cant find that requirement. Is that right?
