Remember folks, if you feel you must pull your prop through...

My advice is generally NOT to do so.

But if you must, take all the appropriate precautions:

mags off
mixture back
throttle back
primer locked (unless it’s fuel injection, which has no primer)
parking brake set
wheels chocked

And never wrap your fingers around the prop blades like this guy plainly does.

EDIT: Let me add "master off", just for good measure.
