the more I'm realizing how much a racket it is to sell them. And I'm not blaming the manufacturers specifically/wholly. I know that they have to spend a lot of R&D money to get it past the FAA requirements but who in the FAA makes those requirements? A plastic dome light cover is $31? Really? If I were to buy one for my 1969 Mustang it would be around $5.


What do they do to the FAA approved cow to make it's leather more burn resistant than a regular cow? Rhetorical question but just an example.
