Gosh, Roger Daltry is still alive and touring. The Who was one of my favorite bands in the 60's and 70's. They actually performed at my college in a relatively small performance room at the student union. My roomie and I sat in the second row back from the stage and the sound was overwhelming from the monsterous big speaker on every side of the stage. I was somewhat concerned that they would do their guitar-smashing routine at the end because we were close enough that we might have gotten hit by splinters, but I guess they needed the instrument for the rest of the tour.
