I was thinking of changing my engine at overhaul to the K1G5 under STC to get rid of the horrible dual mag. But very hard to get the core engine and also difficult to convince engine shops to take back a different engine. After reading a different post here about the dual mags I see Electroair is finally approved so I am thinking about doing the below Instead, thoughts? About $10k for the parts.

1. I install the Electroair Dual mag replacement.

The EIS-62000DM Electronic Ignition Kit
$6,995.00
Bendix Single Drive
Dual Mag

2. Install this backup alternator to meet the backup power requirements. ( I have a full glass panel upgrade so don't have any vacuum pump)
