One thing I miss on my Cherokee 140 is the raucous stall warning horn on the Cessnas I trained on. It was the mark of getting the touchdown speed just right. My '69 Cherokee has a stall warning light but it's way over on the panel and not too visible except at night. Really only useful during light reviews to prove slow-speed flying capability. Has anyone done a mod to add a buzzer or aural indicator? What was involved? I have a Sonalert left over from work that makes a really loud, high-pitched sound when activated and it runs on 12 volts. What would be involved to (legally) add it to the stall warning system?
