New AD number AD 2013-02-13 for stabilator control cable on most PA-28, PA-32, PA-34 and PA-44 aircraft effective March 11, 2013. It involves inspection of the stabilator control cable for corrosion at the turnbuckles, wear and fraying with replacement as required.
Inspection is due at the next Annual or sooner so if yours is presently in the shop, now is the time to save some money.
Tell your mechanic, more than a few won't know.
