Hello Forum members,

I am close to pulling the trigger on purchasing a Sky Beacon to install on my PA32RT-300T. Are any of you flying this aircraft with the Sky Beacon & how is it performing?

I have a couple of concerns. #1 is, do the original (big & bulbous) wing tips pose any issues and #2 is, will the KFC 200 auto pilot flux gate located near the left wing tip create any problems with the Sky Beacon?

As for the installation, I know that the high power source for the existing strobe must not be connected to the Sky Beacon. Should this be disconnected at the power supply? Do I need to run a new 12v positive wire from the strobe switch, on the panel, out to the Sky Beacon to power the led strobe and give me independent switching of the position & strobe lights?

I tried contacting uAvionix about this but they are all at Sun n Fun having fun. Hope some of you are too!

Thanks in advance for any advise & information!

David
