Ok, so my 1970 PA-32-300 is only climbing at 500fpm with just me (265lbs) and half tanks. My fuel pressure is on the low side of the green on the mechanical fuel pump, and only slightly higher with the electric pump. I was told by an experienced Six owner that he suspects that is my problem - low fuel pressures to the injectors. My mechanic is busy and hasn't had a chance to look at it yet.

I decided to do a little troubleshooting of my own, just to rule anything else out and to have more info for my a&p. I bought a digital handheld tach to check my prop RPMs. I'm only turning 2530rpm static and on climb. Would the governor be the source of the lower RPMs?
