1976 pa-28-151 original with no intercom. Local shop installing a panel mount intercom for me so we can talk to each other in the plane, will be used for flight instruction of my son.

I have a question regarding the intercom, Spruce sells a stereo and mono.

I was planning in ordering the SPA-4S as it’s stereo but I’m still using my old David Clarke H-10.3 mono headsets plus one Bose Q25 with Ufly mic noise reduction headset which is stereo, all currently work in the plane with portable sigtronics intercom. Sigtronics site says mono headsets won’t damage the SPA-4S but may not work properly and there are installation instruction to wire for mono headsets.

Anyone using the SPA-4S with mono headsets?

Thanks
