My Piper Cherokee airplane has spent most of its life when not flying in a hangar. Where I currently reside in NC there is currently no available hangar space which means the plane is located at the airports tie down section and subject to the elements. I recently noticed some rusting, mostly on screws and fuel cap areas. Is it best to sand, prime and touch up with aviation paint those rust areas (using small brush’s to prime and paint those areas since they are tiny)? See pics. Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
