I reserved a car at an airfield a week ago, and I got a call from the airport today. They said the runway is scheduled to be closed because they are working on the taxiway next to it, but they will let me land. He said to just call on Unicom and let them know who I am, and they will make sure everything is clear for the landing. I checked the NOTAMs and one has popped up saying the runway will be closed.

Has anyone had this happen to them? If I have permission from the airport to land, I assume that everything is legal because they are the ones that put out the NOTAM. Should I have any worries?
