I had a guy that broke his rudder pedals in a PA28. Broke off at the carryover point of the left rudder pedal. The salvage replacement oddly enough was beefed up at that location with 2 plates of steel welded on. I guess Piper knew they had a problem and quietly re-engineered it as it sure looked factory...

That was one of the most nasty jobs I have ever done. Took forever and no fun at all!! Actaully had to also take the stabilator torque tube out of the way to get that sucker out... I said many choice words along the way...
