My oil dipstick threads are stripped, so I need to find a replacement. The Piper parts catalog (1980 rev) page 3C18 does not show a call out for dipstick nor filler neck.

The Lycoming parts catalog PC115-2 for O-540-B-E-G series lists LW-14774 "GAGE ASSEMBLY, Oil level (threaded plug)" as the dipstick for a B4B5 engine. I purchased a new one off eBay and found that it was about 2 inches too long and 1/4 inch too large diameter.

Any ideas how to find the correct part? It appears that Piper put a shorter neck and stick in the -235s.
