In my Saratoga I have a garmin GMA 340 audio panel. Over the past few flights I've noted a high pitched background noise that is somewhat subtle and can be ignored but I'd obviously prefer it be gone.
I'm using a David Clark 13.4 headset (not ANR). On a longer x country yesterday I played around with the radio to try and get rid of it.
I just about gave up and then decided to start turning other stuff off. When I flipped the Nav light switch it disappeared. I also have wing tip lights and if they are on I get the same thing.
I don't want to make it seem like the noise is horrible. In all honesty it might be normal to expect some "noise" from the lights ? I honestly don't know and am just looking for some opinions on what, if anything, is normal.
The lights are all standard halogen as would be OEM.
