I'm looking at a 79 PA28-236 Dakota and noticed the Engine & Prop were both overhauled in 2001. Engine & Prop have 960 hours since the overhaul but the prop has a TBO of 2000 hrs or 5 years so well past the 5 year mark as it's into year 13.

So what I'm wondering is should this prop (Hartzell 2 blade) be overhauled ASAP or should I consider replacing it w/ a 3 bladed prop? If I should consider replacing w/ a 3 blade how much would that typically run?
