Just a quick question about how the engine gauges are mounted in an older model Cherokee 160 (63). I am trying to purchase some insturment lighting and am trying to light the 6 engine monitoring gauges. I know they are small gauges mounted in a metal cluster pan. My question is the plastic lens mounted to the metal cluster over the gauges or is it mounted to the plastic overlay? Also is it usually one piece of plastic lens or is it two lenses and if it is one lens is it all clear plastic or black bordered? I am ordering some fiber optic lighting and am trying to determine if one strip mounted in the center will light all of them or do I need a strip for each set of 3? I was thinking that a single strip mounted in the recess of the overlay between the two rows would be sufficient to light all six gauges. But I will buy one strip for each row if not. If anyone has any photos of the back of the right overlay, that would also be helpful. Thanks.
