I want to lubricate the main gear on my 1965 PA-28-140. This is my first time doing it, and I don’t know what grease has been used in the past. The old service manual I have stipulates MIL-G-23827. I found that Aeroshell 33 meets MIL-PRF-23827C, and I ordered some. However, the technical datsheet specifically mentions that the synthetic formula might not be good for some seals. In addition, I know mixing some greases can be a problem, so I want to double check with all of you. Is Aeroshell 33 the right grease?

Also, I welcome any tips on application. Do I continue pumping until I see grease exiting seams or is that going too far?
