Private not airports in Jeppesen database

Flew up to my dad's this weekend for a visit and discovered that his 4 character ID wasn't in my database (97FL). When I got there and landed, the GPS was very unhappy about the entire proceeding as it didn't see an airport there.

Do I have to manually enter every private airport I go to as a user defined waypoint? Is there a better practice here?
