Hi. Doing some avionics work. Adding a g5 and a gtx345. PA28R-200

Has anyone taken off the plastic overlays on the instrument panel and left just the bare metal? Possibly powder coated it? Maybe even cut a new panel and attached? Looking for some experience from those that have done it. Definitely like the flat panel look better
