Trying to decide if I should go forward with a hangar improvement job in southwestern Pennsylvania at this time of year.

My contractor was supposed to be here 2 months ago, but he just called and told me he is finally available to do this job.

Project is an extension of the paved area directly outside my hangar door.

50' wide, 10.5' deep, 6" thick.

About 9.75 yards of concrete.

Part of this job is essentially a threshold for the new Scheweiss bifold door I ordered a few months ago.

I can't move forward with the door installation until I have this concrete job done.

This week we are seeing lows at night in the mid twenties. And by all guesstimates it will be getting colder by the day.

The job will be done by a professional cement contractor.

If I ask the contractor what he thinks about pouring concrete this time of year, I'm sure he'll tell me I should not be concerned.

But what thoughts, good or bad, do any of you have to offer?

Thank you very much for any and all replies.
