My current sick and ball antenna broke. It's located just aft of the firewall in a place I can see but can not reach. The control cables are in the way.

It would be easier to abandon the whole antenna and coax Pull a new line back to the wing spar bay under the rear seats, placing the new antenna there. The only other antenna is the marker beacon and the strobe light is there.

Is there a problem doing that?
