Is it dampener or damper? Who knows?

I'm considering rebuilding my shimmy damper. The pics below show it looks to be a Cleveland 15-8 but there is also a Piper Aircraft placard with PS-50152-5. Aircraft Spruce has a kit that repairs a Cleveland 15-8 and references a PS-50152-2. Does anyone know what the difference is between a -5 and a -2?

Will the kit work?
