I have a 1980 PA32-301T Saratoga....

I have been struggling to find out where the TIT should be... When I lean out according to the Manual the TIT Jumps off the charts and I am running well over 20 GPH which is too much but I am worried about hurting the engine. What can I do to lean out better and get my GPH down?
