When the last paint job was done on the Cherokee 140 I purchased last December, the silver lettering on the sides of the cowling was painted blue like the striping. I want to remove the paint and return the lettering to silver as it should be. I don't know if the silver lettering is a solid silver colored plastic or was painted silver over a neutral plastic finish. If solid, then light wet sanding should bring it back. If it was painted then, I have a different issue of masking and re-painting lettering. Does anybody know the answer here? Please see photo attached.

Thank you!
