My 1972 Cherokee's paint is about a "5", but there are areas that look ragged and have chipped paint. There's no way I can (or want to) spend $15,000 for a new paint job. So, if I want to apply some paint cheaply and quickly using spray can type supplies, what's the best way to do it? What primers are available and appropriate? What procedure should I use? What should the airplane logbook write-up look like? What are the other options for paint? Thanks in advance for the assistance.
