Was wondering if anyone can give me some insite, tips to get the seat height adjustment feature on my 1977 Piper Warrior II front seats to work.

I am short and would like to get my seat height adjustment to work on my seat. It has never worked since I have owned the airpane (2 years). Just was wondering if anyone has any ideas to try to get it to work. I would just replace the entire cylinder assembly. but can not find anywhere to buy it.

Thanks
