I’m trying to restore the overhead dome and red (map?) lights in my Arrow IV. Looked under the overhead console and found the bad ground connection so the dome light now works but also found the wiring for the red light completely disconnected. It seems Piper changed the lighting around quite a bit over the years and models so I’m hoping someone can help me with specifics for this Arrow. The maintenance manual is very generic.

1) Does the potentiometer in the OH dim the dome light or red light?
2) Is the red light switched off the Nav light switch, panel light switch, OH potentiometer or something else?
3) The red light has a little “slider” on its face. What does that do?

Thanks so much for any insights you can provide.
John
