Does anyone run different oil weights with the different season? Any adverse effects to the engine? I purchased my pa28 with
340 hours on the engine. I purchased a case of aero shell 100 (50 weight). Then noticed in the cowling someone ad written in pencil the sat oil change with 20W50. I purchased the 20W50 and changed the oil. It was winter and the temps were in the 50's and 60's. it s due for an oil change again. It s now in the 100's and I will be flying to Utah on Thursday and was thinking of putting in the aeroshell 100. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
