So the dipstick on my O-360-a4a has the bottom couple of threads getting buggered up. I think kid #3 jammed it in the tube and cross threaded it. I believe the part is LW-14758.

Any thoughts on: is it better to replace both the tube and dipstick; just the dipstick (the tube threads are clean); or try to clean up the threads on the existing dipstick with a die.

Any thoughts?
