I own a 1969, PA28-140b. I recently completed a long cross country from Colorado to North Carolina (new home). The trip was uneventful minus the weather. I noticed yesterday that the nose strut seems a bit higher then usual (about 2-3 inches higher, not fully extended). I saw no leaks or pitting on the chrome. I have read some articles stating that this is not that unusual. I am wondering if this is something requiring immediate maintenance or if I should allow some time for the strut to return to its original position. Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
